March 15, 1902
- Bopp Chapel was incorporated by Louis H. Bopp as a livery service and was located on West Jefferson Avenue in Kirkwood.

1918 - We moved to West Argonne Drive (Main Street) and evolved into a full service funeral home.

1931 - Another location was added in Clayton at the corner of Hanley and Forsyth Roads.

1946 - The 2nd generation of family owned operation began with Rolland H. Bopp, Richard C. Mueller, Sr. and William T. Humes.

1961 - Bopp Chapel consolidates its two locations and moves to its present address at 10610 Manchester Road in Kirkwood.

1967
- The 3rd generation of family owned operation began with Louis W. Humes becoming involved with Bopp Chapel. Two years later, Louis H. Bopp II joined, and a year after that, Richard C. Mueller, Jr. became active as well.

2007 - Construction of 3 additional parlors (which can be used as a funeral chapel as well), an additional foyer, more parking and two more entrances begins.

Today - We are happy that the 4th generation is active in the business. Christopher Roth, Scott Humes, Louis (Chip) Obert, Jr. and Christine Bopp all began their careers at Bopp Chapel in the 1990’s. The expansion is complete and is being well received by the families we serve.
