Funeral Options    |    Steps to Funeral Planning    |    Selection Room

During a difficult time, it is helpful to know what to expect from an arrangement conference. Here are some things to consider:

> Decide on the final disposition, such as burial, entombment, cremation or anatomical donation.
  For Burial:

Choose what type of casket you desire. If the cemetery requires one, you can also choose from our wide array of outer containers.

Consider what type of clothing, jewelry, and if you will want to be wearing eyeglasses.

Your funeral director at Bopp Chapel will contact the cemetery on your behalf, if.
  For Cremation:

Consider if you would like the cremated remains to be scattered, interred, or inurned. Bopp Chapel can contact the cemetery for you.

Choose from the different types of urns and urn vaults we offer

> Determine what type of service you wish to have. You can specify location (church, funeral home, graveside) and whether you desire to have visitation/viewing.
> Specify your choice of officiates for the funeral service, what type of prayer cards, and register book.
> Decide whether you would like to have a paid obituary notice in a newspaper of your choice. The funeral director can help you write the obituary notice and estimate the cost.
> Review the charges for the services you have selected during the pre arrangement conference.

The funeral director will be in charge of filing all necessary paperwork and permits. During the conference, the funeral director will need some vital statistic information in order to file the paperwork.

When you are planning to attend services at a funeral home, church or other location, ask a close friend or trusted neighbor to stay in or at least closely watch your home while you are away. Burglaries have been known to occur while family members attend services for loved ones.
