Marilyn Kurrus (Becker)
KURRUS, MARILYN LOCKTON (NEE BECKER), 84, of Kirkwood, MO, died peacefully in her sleep October 6, 2017, after a brief illness. She leaves her husband of 23 years, Clifford Kurrus, children Richard (Amy) Lockton III, Lauren Lockton, Dan Lockton; brothers Richard Becker and Jerry Becker and their families; grandchildren Lindsay (Jonathan) Wood, Richard (Melissa) Lockton IV, her precious great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her husband’s children and grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Lockton Jr.
She graduated from Webster Groves High School in 1950 and attended William Woods College. Her talent for design guided her professional life as an interior designer in St. Louis and Seattle, as well as her Kirkwood shop, Armoires & More. Marilyn’s joy of life made every day a celebration. Marilyn lit up any room she entered, and her beautiful smile and kind words were a blessing to her friends and family. A member of the Forever Young Club at the Missouri Athletic Club and active at Bethesda Gardens, she will be missed by many.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Road, Kirkwood, MO. Memorial gifts may be made to the Animal Protection Association, 1705 South Hanley Road, St. Louis, MO 63144 and apamo.org.
