Carver, Aline, 95, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church, November 18, 2017. Cherished daughter of Thomas and Adeline (née Dowd) Chapman; dear sister of Thomas (Dee) Chapman, Jr., and the late Virginia (Frank) Forst, Dolores Chapman, and Helen Chapman; devoted wife of the late Andrew Carver; loving and beloved mother of Susan (John) Rice, Drew (Mary Jo) Carver, Nancy Carver, John Carver, Richard (Sharon) Carver, George Carver, Ann (Michael) Cordeal, Elizabeth Carver, and the late Joan Carver; adoring and adored grandmother of John Rice III, Kerry Rice, Kelly Whalen, Kristy Roschke, Kasey McBroom, Ben Parke, Amy Bullock, Molly Uxa, Joe Cordeal, and Katie Cordeal; dear great-grandmother of Hayden, Finley, Jack, Gavin, Nolan, Ben, Mary Kate, Lucas, and Max; loving aunt and loyal friend to many. Aline was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and attended Washington University. While raising nine children, she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education, and taught hundreds of children in Ladue schools over 17 years. She loved God, her Church, her family and friends, reading, and ice cream. We will miss her joyful heart, boundless love, and ever-present humor. She was the best. Her family thanks the kind caregivers at St. Agnes Home.

Services: Funeral Mass at St. Gerard Majella Church, Dougherty Ferry and Ballas Roads, on Tues., November 28, 2017, at 10 a.m. Visitation at the Church at 9 a.m. prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred or contributions to Birthright St. Louis ( or the Knight Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center ( appreciated.
