Obituary for Stephen Deimeke

Stephen Deimeke
Stephen Deimeke
If our triumphs are heightened by the magnitude of our struggles to overcome the obstacles we face, then Stephen Deimeke was a champion of life in all the categories that matter. Stephen was only 49 years young when he was called to Heaven on January 3rd 2018 from his St. Louis home. A devoted brother and faithful friend, Stephen never considered the use of his legs a pre-requisite for standing in the gap for anyone that needed his help.

Equal to his dedication to his siblings and peers, Stephen’s selfless love for his nieces, nephews, and God-children made him a hero to little eyes that drew confidence and inspiration from his presence.
Stephen’s life and impact are now celebrated by his family: mother Mary Ellen, father James, sisters JoAnne, Patricia and Amy, brother Michael, and an adoring group of nieces and nephews from the Mid-West to the Southeast.

Memorial contributions appreciated to the Spina Bifida Association.
Visitation Tuesday January 9th, 3pm to 8pm at Bopp Chapel. A private family prayer service and interment to be held.
