Virginia “Ginny” May Stookey (nee Hammer) age 82, Sunday January 7th, 2018 beloved wife of the late Sam Stookey; dear mother of Sarah Shipley; dear mother in law of Norm Shipley; dear grandmother of Allison and Kirsten Shipley; dear sister of the late Herman Hammer; dear aunt of Wayne Hammer, Karen Price, Carol Treon, Craig Hammer, and the late Michael Hammer; dear godmother of Alice Sydow and Wayne Hammer; dear great aunt, great great aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Ginny was a true lover of life! She worked in the legal field until her retirement in 1995. Her interests were many- travel, history, cooking/entertaining, reading, gardening, musical theatre, her dogs, but above all was her family! Family was everything to her. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation from 10am until time of Memorial Service at 11:30am on Saturday, January 13, at Kirkwood United Methodist Church, 201 W. Adams, Kirkwood, MO 63122. If desired, memorials may be made to the Missouri Botanical Gardens or the Humane Society of Missouri.
