Gloria O'Brien (Serrano)
Gloria Maria (Serrano) O’Brien, baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, Tuesday January 30, 2018. Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Gloria joined her beloved husband Robert, son David, parents Edmund and Luella Serrano and brother Edmund Raphael Serrano, in heaven.

She was born August 6, 1928 in St. Louis Mo. Loving mother of Larry, Tim (Barb), Greg, Ed (Shawna). Cherished grandmother of Stephanie, Stacy, Gunner, and Gabrielle. Beloved great-grandmother of Mercede and Colin. Sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt and friend to many.

Gloria attended St Roch, Academy of the Sacred Heart, and was an alumna of Washington University where she earned a degree in Retail and Merchandising in 1950. A long-time parishioner of St. Ann Parish, supporter of many charitable organizations, works including Meals on Wheels. Gloria never met a stranger. She lived her life with a welcoming spirit and unending generosity.

Services: St. Ann Parish in Normandy MO at 10 am Saturday February 24 for a mass to be celebrated in Gloria’s honor. Reception to follow 8343 Knollwood, 63121. No visitation prior to service. Gloria will be interred with her husband, parents, and grandparents during a family service at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to Humane Society or St Ann Parish. Boppchapel.com
