Rena Hale
Hale, Rena E. (nee Eberspacher) 97 died peacefully June 2nd 2018 surrounded by her family in her home at Aberdeen Heights in Kirkwood, Missouri. Beloved wife of the late Clyde S. Hale; loving mother of Freda (James) Cook, Dr. Thomas (Margaret) and Dr. John (Laura) Hale; loving grandmother of Ann (Dan) Carpenter, Jean (Jason) Cleveland, Kathryn (Joe) Demko, Andrew Cook, Anne-Marie (Jimmy) Russell, Christine (Nathan) Harris, Jim (Julie) Hale and Sarah Hale (Max Mazzella); devoted great grandmother to Tom, Abby, Cora, Jaycie, Ava, Tripp, Addison, Cecelia, Patricia, Lillian, John and Clyde. Rena was born in Pana, Ill. where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Clyde. They were married during WWII and as part of the “Greatest Generation” they moved to St. Louis after she graduated from Lindenwood College with a degree in music. Her passions in life were her piano, family, friends, bridge, golf and travel. Her friends were many and were especially centered around her church, where she was a deacon and clerk of the session, and as a member of Algonquin Golf Club where she spent many hours playing bridge, golf and having fun. Visitation and Funeral service will be held at Webster Groves Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, June 6th, 2018. Visitation at 2:30 pm followed by a funeral service at 3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Clyde S. Hale Scholarship fund at the Webster Groves Presbyterian Church, 45 W. Lockwood Ave., St. Louis, MO 63119.
