Harry Lenzen Jr.
Lenzen Jr., Harry “Jack” Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Friday June 29, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Lenzen (nee Sullivan). Loving father of Dan (Ann), Anne (Steve) Disko, Abby (Scott) Marcouiller, and the late Mike (Susan). Dear grandfather of Megan, Jack, David, Katie, Matt, Allie, Luke, Harry, and Sarah. Brother of the late Joann (Skip) Jacoby.
Our Beloved Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Father-in-Law, Godfather, and lifelong friend to many, Jack Lenzen will be greatly missed. Born August 20th 1932 to Harry J Lenzen and Alma Lenzen. He grew up in South St. Louis City on Goethe Ave. He attended Our Lady of Sorrows grade school and was a proud graduate of St. Louis University High. He graduated from St. Louis University with triple majors and served in the Air Force, and rose to the rank of Captain. Upon his return from service, married the love of his life Patricia Ann Sullivan. He went on to earn a MBA from Washington University. The two of them were lifelong travelers and raised four spectacular children in their spare time. Jack always made time to coach their sports teams and mentor them along the way. Mike was the tennis player, Dan the soccer player, Anne the softball pitcher, and Abby the gymnast! He instilled the importance of education, moral character, and a strong work ethic. They all had chores assigned to them and there was no sleeping in on the weekends. There were always weeds to be picked, leaves to be picked up, and those darn sweetgum balls. Thank you for the example you set of kindness towards others, forgiveness of mistakes, and the idea you can always be better. Everyone that knew you is better for it. There are a lot of women going to miss those blue eyes. The family would like to thank Jen Stearns his housekeeper of 20 years, Rahbosha Hubbard and Angelika Harris for their loving care of our Dad.
