Obituary for Jane Connelly

Jane Connelly
Jane Cabler Connelly passed away unexpectedly on August 7th, 2018 at the age of 58. She was the beloved wife of Dan Connelly of Des Peres, Missouri. She is survived by her children Jessica (Charlie) Marlow of Glendale, Missouri and Chelsea (fiancé John) Connelly of Nashville, Tennessee, beloved grandmother (Gigi) of Janie Mae, her brother, Steve Cabler and sister, Julie Cabler Kenney of Kirkwood. She is preceded in death by her dad Wylie Cabler and mom Martha Peppard Cabler.
Jane was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on March 17, 1960 and relocated with her parents to Kirkwood, Missouri in the summer of 1961 along with her 3 year old sister and 5 year old brother. Jane grew up in a happy and loving household on the north side of Kirkwood on Delchester Lane enjoying her many friends and activities. She developed a love and passion for horses as a young teenager and competed successfully in western riding events and enjoyed training several horses. She graduated from Kirkwood High School in 1978 and from the University of Missouri, St. Louis in 1982.
It was during her high school years she met the love of her life Dan, and they were married in 1983. After a few years in a professional career she became a full time mother and devoted herself to raising her two young daughters, Jessica and Chelsea. Jane was a nurturing and loving individual and wonderful mother who genuinely enjoyed creating an idyllic home environment for Dan and the girls. She was always very involved as a Mom. She and Dan spent many years traveling the country with Chelsea’s soccer team and Jessica’s golf tournaments as well as traveling with family and friends. Jane and her family were long time parishioners of Saint Gerard Majella Catholic Church in Des Peres.
She enjoyed entertaining and being around her many close friends with an innate ability to make people feel comfortable. Jane, with her sassy sense of humor, always knew how to enjoy life and make others laugh. The entire family was very active at Algonquin Golf Club and had years of enjoyment with their cherished friends there.
Jane will be dearly missed by her family and many close friends.
