Roberta "Robby" Sterling
Roberta Lee Sterling, 75, of St. Louis, MO, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 22nd, 2018 at her home in Town and Country, MO.

Robby was born August 24th, 1942 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Belleville, IL residents Helen Montgomery Sterling and Robert Jordan Sterling who preceded her in death. Robby grew up in Belleville, IL, and following graduation from Belleville Township High School in 1960, she graduated from the University of Colorado in 1964 with a major in Finance and Economics. Robby went on to have a career in banking which included management positions with Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City, NY, and Honolulu, HI.

On September 30th, 1989 at Central Presbyterian, Clayton, MO, Robby married Michael Heidenry and the couple resided in St. Louis for 33 years.

Robby was a kind and generous person, admired and loved by all who knew her. She was a lifelong Methodist and a Stephens Minister. She was a member of the American Association of University Women, enjoyed bridge, gardening, and going to see the St. Louis Cardinals play with her husband Mike.

In addition to her husband Mike, Robby is survived by her brother Roger Montgomery Sterling and his wife Karen E. Sterling of Bartlett, IL; her niece Anne Sterling Beckner and grandnephews Benjamin Montgomery Beckner, Theodore Calhoun Beckner of Westlake Village, CA and grandniece Alyona Sterling Beckner of Pasadena, CA; niece Erin Sterling Hendricks and husband Todd S Hendricks, grandnephews Cole Sterling Hendricks, Kellen Stephan Hendricks and grandniece Arden Ellery Hendricks all of Palatine, IL. Of Cave Creek, AZ; grandnephew Nathanael Thomas, grandniece Gabrielle Anne and Jeannie Marie Sterling wife of Robert Jordan Sterling II. Robby is also survived by cousins Lorraine and Wayne Kinman of St Louis MO, Margaret Ann and Tom Sehr of St Louis MO, and Harriette and Arch Wayne of St Charles, MO.

Services: Viewing will be held from 5pm-8pm on Thursday, September 6th, 2018 at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd, Kirkwood Rd MO 63122. The burial at Walnut Hill Cemetery, 1101 Mascoutah Ave, Belleville, IL 62220 at 12 noon on Friday, September 7th, 2018.

Robby’s Memorial: A Celebration of Robby’s Life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 20th, 2018 at Central Presbyterian Church, 7700 Davis Drive, Clayton, MO with reception to follow at Maggiano’s, 2 The Boulevard St Louis, Richmond Heights, MO 63117. Friends and family are welcome.

Memorial donations may be made to Central Presbyterian Church of Clayton, MO. Online tributes may be left at www.legacy.com.
