Obituary for Klaus Kattentidt

Kattentidt, Klaus H.G. a 52 year resident of Kirkwood, passed away following a short illness on August 27, 2018. Born 88 years ago to the late Heinrich and Elise Kattentidt in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, Klaus emigrated to the U.S. to attend Washington University’s college of architecture. While at Washington University, Klaus met the love of his life, Vivian Banta. Loving husband of nearly 60 years, they had three beloved sons. Devoted Father of Hans (Carrie), Christoph, and Nicolas (Dawn) Kattentidt. Cherished Opa to Abby (R.Arron) Powell, Sierra and Sofia Kattentidt and great grandfather to Isaac, Silas, and Vivian Powell. Dear brother in law to Merle (June) Banta, and former father in law to Susan Rose.

Klaus was a licensed architect, a lifelong member of American Institute of Architects, and designed his Kirkwood home with Vivian. Klaus was also a dedicated member of Glendale Lutheran church form many years. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Manor Grove for their dedicated care and also his friends who visited him from exercise group and Glendale Lutheran.

Funeral service Saturday Sept 1st , 10 am at Glendale Lutheran Church. Interment private. Memorials preferred to Glendale Lutheran building fund. Visitation Friday Aug 31st , 5-8pm at Bopp Chapel.
