Mary Lou "Angie" Crutsinger
Mary Lou Crutsinger (Angie) fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend, Angie lived in St. Louis, MO and Naples, FL. Born July 21, 1935 in Baltimore MD to the late James and Katherine Hopkins. Angie moved to Kirkwood after her marriage to Robert (Bob) K. Crutsinger in 1957 and quickly made St. Louis her home. She was Bob’s beloved wife, cherished companion, best friend and wind beneath his wings for over 62 years. Wonderful mother and mother in law to Cary (Dan) Renz, Rusty (Beth) Crutsinger and Katie (Dan) Sullivan. Loving “Nini” to grandchildren Lauren Renz Ruder (Michael), Megan Renz, Daniel (Kristin) Renz, Kelly Crutsinger, Colleen Crutsinger, Caroline Sullivan Rapone (Robert), Dan (Caroline) Sullivan Jr, Bob Sullivan and great granddaughter, Penelope Ruder. Dear sister of the late Kathryn Green (Jack), Bernie (Mike) Hopkins, Jim (Martha) Hopkins all of Maryland and Bonnie Weiringa of Illinois. Faithful, loving friend to many.
Angie enjoyed boating with Bob, golf, reading, and most of all, her family. She will be remembered for her beauty, her kindness, her feisty political opinions and her fabulous sense of humor.
Private burial. Memorial Mass at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 1510 Bopp Rd., in Des Peres, MO on Saturday, September 8, 2018, 10 a.m. Visitation preceding Mass starting at 9 a.m. A Memorial will be celebrated in Naples at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital Foundation.
