Words of Remembrances from Jake's Brothers.

Jake was a great son, brother, friend and Marine. His smile and silliness were contagious and would light up a room. Jake was a guy you could count on in times of need with either a funny Mel Brooks movie quote to cheer you up, or a helping hand for any project. His great character is what made him a perfect fit for the Marine Corps. His willingness to serve his country was a testament to his wonderful spirit, and we are all proud of his service. Our hearts are heavy, but we take great comfort in knowing we have Jake watching out over us in Heaven.

George Jacob Nuernberger was a great person all around. He was a great son, brother, and uncle. The god father of my daughter. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better than him because I knew if something happened to me, he would do everything he could to take care of her. George and I spent a lot of time together over the years and there are so many memories like being at cool creek fishing all day or making big bond fires at the camper. We didn't do everything together, but we did a lot, and even though we would fight a lot we still both loved each other very much. You are my big brother even though I'm taller you always be my big brother. You will be missed by so many people and that because you touched so many people’s hearts with your since of humor and great work ethic. I am so glad I got to play one final soccer game with you at Vetter, we both got a goal that night it was so much fun I will never forget that night. I will always love you no matter what.

Love you George Jacob Nuernberger

Jake was my step brother and he will be missed by me and my family. He was an uncle to my sons and a brother to me. Jake made me laugh and helped keep my diverse taste in music even mo9re diverse (LMFAO). Early on, Jake had an interest in being a police officer, but ended up being a United States Marine. He joins the likes of those before him including my grandfather. I would have been honored to serve with Jake in any capacity. I was proud to know Jake in this life and we can’t imagine the world without him. “Brothers don’t shake hands, Brothers gotta hug!”

Son, Brother, Uncle, Comrade in arm. He was all these things and more. The infectiousness of his movie quotes to his team work on the field, he was always giving it his all. I saw him at work and how determined and hard working he could be and saw him when he was off and not afraid for playing video games with the same determination. He wasn’t afraid to talk with someone from any walk of life and would give you a helping hand when you needed it. He has left behind a lasting memory with those who have known him in the short time he was here, and we will miss him dearly.
