Obituary for Mary Arnett Unverferth

Mary Arnett Unverferth
Mary Arnett Unverferth (nee Vollmer) 1926 - 2019

Loving wife of 58 years of the late Carl J. Unverferth and dear mother of Jean (Bill) Harris, Carleen Kramer and Tom Unverferth and of the late Mary Ann (surviving Matt) Toczylowski. Mary passed away peacefully fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, Tuesday, April 9, 2019.

Life for Mary was all about her family and belief in the Catholic faith. She raised a wonderful family - children who love and understand the meaning of life, it's many pleasures, the good in people and love for one another. Mary also lived her faith and practiced it throughout her life. She was a Eucharistic Minister, a volunteer at Saint Anthony's Medical Center and often seen throughout Saint Anthony's delivering the Eucharist to patients and staff. She was an avid believer in Pro-Life and often participated in Pro-Life fund raisers and events.

Mary was the beloved grandmother of Andrew (Jess) and Peter (Ashley) Harris; Kelly (Jeff) Gratton, Kristen (Jim) Brasher and Katie Kramer; Leanna (Tez) Ward and Neal (Hannah) Unverferth; Stephanie (Jeff) Fontana and Matthew (Rachael) Toczylowski; dear great-grandmother of Cole and Finn Harris; Emry and Sam Harris; Audrey, Jack, and Charlie Gratton; Elle Brasher; Matthis and Aima Ward; Paxtyn Unverferth; and Grady and Barrett Fontana; daughter of Anne and George Vollmer; dear sister of Phyllis (Jerry) Long; Butch (Roni) Vollmer; Sue (Mike) Becker; the late Lois (Jack) Hogan, and late Dan Vollmer; a dear sister-in-law, aunt and friend to all.

Visitation Mon., April 15, 10 am at St. Catherine Laboure Church, 9740 Sappington Rd., 63128, with funeral Mass at 11 am. Interment, Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
