Obituary for Pearl Hedrick (Boyd)

Pearl Hedrick (Boyd)
Pearl Hedrick, (nee Boyd) passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 at age 105. Beloved wife of the late Wilfrid A. Hedrick; loving mother of Jan (Bob) Schauman and Elissa (Allan) Liescheidt; cherished grandmother of Melanie (David) Wittman, Aleah Schauman, Elissa (Jim) Wyrsch, Jessa Schauman, Gregory (Kristen) Schauman, Jeffrey (Rachael) Schauman, Alexander Schauman and Anthony (Ariel) Schauman, Nathaniel Schauman and Cristen (Heath) Luehmann and Meredith (Scott) Wanamaker; loving great-grandmother of Daniel and Julia Wittman, Theodore and Josephine Wyrsch, Madison Schauman, Gabriel Schauman and Gabriel Freeman, and Trace Luehmann, Nicholas and Michael Wanamaker; dear aunt, great-aunt, great-great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Many Webster Groves residents will remember Pearl. She was the little lady who served so faithfully at the Webster Groves Library polling place. Pearl’s actual career as a poll worker began years ago, many in the years of World War II. Her family cannot remember a single election in which she did not proudly serve her community as a poll supervisor.

Visitation 3:00pm – 7:00pm on Sunday, June 9, at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd., in Kirkwood, MO 63122. Funeral Service 11:00am Monday, June 10, at Bopp Chapel. Interment Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Third Baptist Church, 620 N. Grand Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63103.
