Francis Stephen  Hritz
Francis (Frank) S. Hritz, died Sunday, October 6, 2019 peacefully in his home. Husband of Judith Hritz, (Caswell), Father of Michael (wife Lisa), Christine Austin (husband Randy) and Nancy Hritz (husband Tom Tucker), Grandfather of Spencer Hritz, Cannon Hritz and Jonathon Austin,
Brother of Stephen, Dolores Friesen (Hritz), Thomas, Margaret, Raymond,
Father-in-law, Brother-in-law, Uncle, Cousin and friend to many.
Born September 18, 1923 in Bonne Terre MO, his family moved to Kirkwood MO, where his father continued his General Contractor business.
He was a member of the Navy Air Corps and stationed on the West Coast during WWII. He flew in various types of airplanes, taught Radar and Radar jamming, and attained the rank of Aviation Electronics Technician's Mate First Class.
After the War, Frank returned home to Kirkwood, where he worked various jobs and settled in on becoming a carpenter. He also used his electronics knowledge to start repairing radios and eventually TVs. He continued to work as a Carpenter for Goltermann and Sabo until the age of 70, as well as repairing TVs, VCRs and CD players.
Frank continued to pick up hobbies along the way and became an avid bowler (multiple 300 games), fast pitch softball (pitched a game at Busch Stadium), Roller skate dancing (met future wife-Judy, and won several competitions both together and individually), Ballroom and Swing Dancing, an avid fisherman and photographer. He enjoyed restoring old cars, waterskiing, and camping. Frank was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Services: Visitation Tues., Oct. 15, 4-8 pm at BOPP CHAPEL, 10610 Manchester Rd., Kirkwood. Funeral Mass Wed., Oct. 16, 9:30 am, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3130 Parkwood Ln., Maryland Heights, Mo. Interment, Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, with full military honors. If desired, memorial donations to the St. Vincent DePaul Society are appreciated.
