Obituary for Mildred Ruth Spence (Launius)

Mildred (Midge) Spence, beloved wife of the late Ken Spence, passed away on January 8, 2020 and is now with Jesus, her precious Savior. She loved her family so much and we know she is rejoicing in heaven with her husband, son, parents, brothers, sisters and so many others who are already there. She is survived by Debbie French (her daughter), Dana Spence (her favorite and only daughter-in-law), Dana’s girls, Kimberly Harfst and Teresa Christiansen along with their children and grandchildren, Jeffrey French (her first and only grandson who she treasured and loved with her whole heart), Jeff’s wife Lindsay who Midge cherished and loved, Dylan, Coleson and Leo (her great grandchildren) who brought such joy into her life – she loved being their GG. Other precious family members include Ed and Hanne Spence, Wayne and Jane Spence, June Cole, Easter Freeman, Rhoda Launius, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband Ken Spence, her son Stan Spence, 10 brothers and sisters, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation for the nurses at DeGeef House for their loving compassion and care.
