Obituary for Earlene H. Dalton (Augustine)

Earlene H. Dalton (Augustine)
Earlene H Dalton (nee Hanson),
Passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at age 86.
Earlene was born in St. Louis, MO on September 21, 1933 to Earl and Edna Hanson. She attended Webster Groves High School where she was an impressive athlete and made lifelong friends. She worked at the Brown Shoe Company for several years. In 1955, she married Chris Dalton, who would be her husband of nearly 65 years. They had three children, and shared great memories and wonderful friendships. While her children were in school, she enjoyed working for the Special School District as a teacher’s assistant. Earlene was a lover of antiques and owned Bittersweet, an antique shop in Kirkwood for several years with her daughter and good friend. She loved to travel with her close friends and family, collecting beautiful antiques along the way. She loved to play Bridge and continued to meet her friends to play into her 80’s. She took great pride in being a grandmother “Nana” and great-grandmother. Earlene was selfless, always putting others first. She carefully nurtured each relationship she had with her family and friends. She was a beautiful person with a heart of gold and will be greatly missed.
Beloved wife of Chris Dalton; loving mother of Chris (Cindy) Dalton, Jeff (Jane) Dalton, and Kim (Joe) Faber; cherished Nana of Sam (Sarah) Dalton, Kelly (Alfredo Jijon) Dalton, Andrew Dalton, and Elle Dalton; loving great-grandmother of Alex Dalton and Max Dalton; dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend.
Visitation will be at 11:30am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00pm on Thursday, February 13, at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd., in Kirkwood, MO. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
