Obituary for Karen Marie Dupske (Bonham)

Karen Marie Dupske (Bonham)
Dupske, Karen Marie (nee Bonham) on Saturday February 8, 2020. Loving wife to Donald; mother to daughter Donna Dupske, and sons Michael (Mara) and Craig (Nicole); sister to E. Woodward Bonham; aunt to Steven, Catherine, and Blake; niece; and grandmother to Katherine, Ellie, and Abigail.
Karen’s artistic talents were admired throughout the community with event signs at the Kirkwood Public Library, and street-wide banners and direction signs for the Greentree Festival for the City of Kirkwood. She was a vital member of the Kirkwood School District’s Keysor Elementary’s PTA, and a driving force in creating game and prizes for many school carnivals. Her calligraphy skills were hired for addressing Christmas cards on behalf of family friends.
Karen enjoyed branching out to Kirkwood-Webster YMCA’s silent auctions, Kirkwood Theater Guild set painting, and the Easter Seals Festival of Trees silent auctions.
Karen provided a comfortable atmosphere, food, and drink for many fantasy baseball drafts and Dungeons and Dragons sessions for her then high school aged sons and their friends. Her daughter was taught the neighborhood with many weekends of garage sales. Her support of her husband’s golf skills assisted him to victory multiple times within their marriage.
Karen and her family were the proud and loving owners of several dogs throughout the years. Those pets were sure to find an extra treat or piece of every snack.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Humane Society of Missouri or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. No visitation, memorial services will be private.
