Obituary for Kathleen A. Dessent (Nolan)

Kathleen A. Dessent (Nolan)
Kathleen Ann Nolan Dessent passed away on March 31, 2020.
She was survived by her husband, Terry Dessent, of 52 years; her children Elizabeth (Thomas) Bacon, Daniel (Jennifer) Dessent, and Carolyn Dessent Feeley, her grandchildren Andrew and Sarah Kathleen Bacon, Caitlin and Audrey Dessent, and Bennett Feeley; her sister Molly Moulton and countless other family members and friends. She effortlessly gave her time to others by being active and volunteering for the Webster Groves School District, Meals on Wheels, the Junior League for many years, instrumental in helping start the Shepherd’s Center, and her church, Webster Hills United Methodist Church, as well as United Methodist Women’s group just to name a few. She worked hard at everything she did and could accomplish anything she put her mind to accentuating her strong nature and commitment. She was never ever too busy to help others out when they needed it and truly loyal to everyone in her life. Her undying faith never faltered; throughout her many struggles in life her faith was never questioned but only increased in certainty. She was the queen of etiquette and always wearing lipstick to “look your best”. She was the life of the party and cherished socializing with others. She was a wealth of knowledge and many will be lost without her guidance as well as her fabulous cooking loaded with love and butter. She loved her family and everyone she was in contact with deeply and touched many lives. She was often referred to as a second mother as she cared deeply and made strong connections with many different generations influencing their lives. The world is a better place because of her and her feisty and fierce personality; she was a lioness and a force not to be reckoned with in the most loving and caring way. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed and never forgotten as she is truly unforgettable. We all love you so much Kathy, Mom, Nannaw, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and Friend!

Private graveside services will be held at St. Paul’s Churchyard and a public memorial to be held in the summer. Donations can be made to Webster Hills United Methodist Church, Shepherd’s Center, and the American Cancer Society.
