Obituary for John Patrick Carey

John Patrick  Carey
John Patrick Carey of Crestwood, MO passed away on May 27, 2020 at the age of 53.

Born in St. Louis, MO on August 11, 1966, he attended Vianney High School and the University of Dayton where he earned his Masters in English. He was a freelance writer and editor. Also, working at the Webster Child Care Center was a highlight of his life. He loved spending time with his family and friends. His favorite hobbies were reading, writing, solving crossword puzzles, winning trivia nights and watching sports. He was a member of Kirkwood United Church of Christ.

He was a beloved son, brother, cousin, nephew and uncle. He is preceded by his mother, Mary, and survived by his father, John, and siblings Lisa (Mike), David (Karen), Heather, Michael (Tiffany), Kristine (Pamela), Victoria (William), Angela (Michael) and 14 nephews & nieces.

A private service will be held for the immediate family along with a Zoom online memorial for extended family & friends on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 10:00am CDT. Please leave messages in the chat notes.
