Obituary for Mary Ann Fehlig (Ligertwood)

Mary Ann Fehlig (Ligertwood)
Mary Ann Fehlig (nee Ligertwood) died peacefully at the Siteman Cancer Center on Monday, July 27th 2020 in St. Louis, MO after battling a rare blood disorder. She was 73 and is survived by Bob Fehlig, her loving husband of fifty years.

Mary Ann was born on June 22, 1947 in St. Louis, MO to her late parents, Charles and Virginia Ligertwood. She is a Nerinx Hall and Saint Louis University alumnae. She married Bob Fehlig in 1970 in St. Louis, MO where they raised their three children and she worked at St. Luke's Hospital. She retired 5 years ago and dedicated her remaining time to volunteering, traveling, playing with her grandchildren, and enjoying her friends and family.

In addition to her husband Bob, Mary Ann is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Rebecca Fehlig and Matt Padberg; her son Lou Fehlig; her daughter and son-in-law Annie (nee Fehlig) and Jon Hanson; her sister Jean Edmunds; and five grandchildren. Mary Ann will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister and friend to many. Her warm laugh, quick wit and gentle nature were just a few of her many wonderful qualities.

A service for Mary Ann will be held at a later date due to Covid-19. Please visit Bopp Chapel (boppchapel.com) to subscribe for service updates and leave notes for the family.
