Obituary for Sandra M. Gotsch (McLean)

Sandra M. Gotsch (McLean)
Gotsch, Sandra on Wednesday, October 21, 2020. Beloved wife of Walter Gotsch III, a loving mother of 6, proud grandmother of 14, great-grandmother of 2, and dear friend departed unexpectedly. Sandie was full of heart and life -she enjoyed volunteering her time-from being a USO volunteer, to church events, and helping out with stamp clubs at senior homes. Family meant the world to her. She would not miss calling friends/family on their birthday to sing to them. She loved reading her bible, doing things with her husband and grandkids, and sharing her love and knowledge of St. Louis and rubber stamps. She would spread joy though handmade custom cards just wanting to brighten those who received one of her “hugs with a fold in the middle”.Having once been a tour guide for this city she had a passion for history, and seemed to know more about this city then most. The way her face would light up when sharing this wealth of information brought the excitement to you. That passion of history got her involved in the World’s Fair Society and the Corps of Discovery of St. Charles with Lewis & Clark. Which also lead to her being apart of the Red Hat Ladies society. Her smile, laugh, thoughtful cards and tours of St. Louis will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life for Sandie will be held on Saturday November 7th, 3:30 p.m. at SouthGate Church, 9820 E Watson Rd, St. Louis, MO 63126…..(314) 842-8679. Visitation will be Saturday, November 7th, 2:00 p.m. until time of service at church. The family is asking for help in keeping her memory alive for the youngest grandchild. Please write down your favorite story / memory of Sandie that they can add to a memory book. If you have any pictures you would like to share along with your story that would be appreciated too. If you are unable to make the celebration in person please mail your written memory / story to Southgate Church who will be able to get it to the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to Lewis & Clark Boathouse and Museum,1050 S. Riverside Dr, St Charles, MO 63301.
